• Failure detection enables proactive troubleshooting.

The modernization of the remaining 6 stacker cranes in the client's high-bay warehouse is currently in the planning stage.

Project Description:
Replacing Trimble ICS5000L and Advanced Skew Control (ASC) units with the Positioning Solution System, including the FLP6000ASC Advanced Skew Control to expand the system to support three axes as well as installing the TPCC Thermo Protection Cooling Case.
Project Duration: Less than one week.

It is part of Lehigh Hanson, Inc., a member of the Heidelberg Cement Group and one of North America’s largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry.

Equipment Modernization:

• Replacing three Trimble ICS units with a single Positioning Solution System supporting 3 axes,
• Simplified system structure due to the modular hardware configuration of the Positioning Solution System,
• The FLP6000ASC Advanced Skew Control reduces facility wear and tear,
• Sensitive sensors are protected by the TPCC Thermo Protection Cooling Case that extends the life span of sensor diodes,
• Position feedback is provided via laser distance meters,
• Ethernet-based communication enables remote assistance and the use of additional features.

Project Description:
Modernization and optimization of a 1995 high-bay warehouse and stacker cranes used for the storage and retrieval of pallets with a maximum load of 2205 lb.

Equipment Modernization:

• The new Positioning Solution System was installed and commissioned and a total of 14 Trimble TCS4000 units were replaced,
• PSI Technics retrofitted 2 axes per stacker crane - 7 stacker cranes total - within one year.

Instead of the previously installed 14 TCS4000 units (one unit per axis) only 7 Positioning Solution System units were needed for the 14 stacker crane axes after the modernization.
