In logistics, industrial machines are critical for the production throughput of goods and merchandise. These systems require time-optimized controls to guarantee efficient performance. Machines that require optimization benefit from PSI Technics' Motion Analyzing Software, which enables the analysis of time-related processes as well as the detection and elimination of motion-related weak spots.
The FLP6000MA Motion Analyzing Software was specifically developed for material handling systems and uses the motion profile to identify sources of interference that adversely affect the productivity of your installation.
It enables you to take action to increase the overall process efficiency, such as:
Reduced costs and increased throughput
PSI Technics uses our unique FLP6000MA Software to analyze the speed, acceleration and the travel profile of your material handling installation to illustrate the optimization potential in your facilities. The histogram operating mode shows all values that are sampled during long-term motion analysis.
Based on the optimization model of the FLP6000MC positioning algorithm, the software offers a substantial increase in productivity in addition to providing a graphical representation of the system's motion profile.
The FLP6000MA software considerably increases motion path efficiency, which not only leads to a faster and safer positioning process but also optimizes storage and retrieval cycle times.
Take advantage of the optimization possibilities for increased motion path efficiency. Contact us – our application engineers would be happy to provide recommendations for your specific operating environment.
The FLP6000MA Motion Analyzing Software optimizes positioning and material handling technology
PSI Technics’ Motion Analyzing Software can immediately detect positioning errors that are not visible to the naked eye. A common example is when a PLC is controlling positioning of a crane or other industrial vehicle. Since the PLC doesn’t consider the whole machine and provides no means of logging positioning movements that can be used for troubleshooting, common positioning errors such as slight under- or overshooting, or vehicle creeping go unrecognized and can have dramatic impacts on system throughput and machine wear and tear, leading to lost productivity and high maintenance costs.
As an example, PSI Technics recently analyzed a drive-based positioning solution in a test environment at a large OEM and found that even with tuning, the crane was overshooting its position by 4-5 mm and taking on average 1.5 seconds to get back onto position. A stacker crane making 2 movements a minute operating 16 hours/day, 6 days/week in this scenario is resulting in over 250 hours of lost productivity per year, let alone added stress on gear boxes and other system components.
Optimization of industrial machines – sample applications:
Crane systems such as stacker cranes or bridge cranes / overhead cranes, hoists, shuttle cars, elevators, material lifts, conveyor systems, etc.

The ARATEC's FLP6000AOC software reduces mast oscillations – even of highly dynamic stacker cranes – to a minimum. The test setup shows that the ARATEC Positioning Solution System with enabled FLP6000AOC compensates for mast oscillations in near-real time, even when the oscillations are caused by external disturbances.
