The PSI Technics family of sensor protection cases – the TPCC, the TPCC-H, the TPCC-CH with combined heating and cooling, and the PSI Technics Sensor Protection Case protects sensors from high and low environmental temperatures, temperature fluctuations, weather conditions and dust to prevent costly downtimes.
Their use considerably increases the diode life-span of optical measurement systems and guarantees precise measurements.
Protected by one of these enclosures, optical sensors, such as laser distance meters, optical data transfer systems, scanners and barcode readers, can now be used in environments, where radiant heat, high or low temperatures or adverse weather conditions previously either completely prevented the use or significantly reduced the life-span of optical sensors (for example, in iron and steel production facilities, cold storage warehouses, and outdoor environments).
The innovative Thermo Protection Cooling Case (TPCC) ideally protects sensitive optical sensors, such as laser distance sensors or optical data transfer systems, from extreme heat (up to 176°F [+80°C]) and cold (down to -40°F [-40°C]) or extreme temperature variations in production and logistics facilities.

PSI Technics' innovative Thermo Protection Cooling Case (TPCC) protects a variety of sensitive sensors, such as laser distance meters, optical data transmission systems, optical scanners, or camera systems from high or low temperatures and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Protected by the TPCC, optical sensors can now be used in environments where high temperatures and radiant heat previously either completely prevented the use or significantly reduced the life span of optical sensors (for example, in iron and steel production facilities).
The TPCC-H is a heated version for use in low temperature environments, such as cold storage warehouses. It protects sensors from temperatures down to -40°F (-40°C).
The PSI Technics Sensor Protection Case is designed to provide mechanical protection to sensor components. It is designed for use with various pulse emitters like laser distance meters and optical data light barriers used in industrial applications.
The TPCC developed by PSI Technics is a proven industrial enclosure designed to protect temperature-sensitive sensors. In October 2008, PSI Technics was awarded the "Innovation Success Award" by the Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB GmbH) for developing this innovative protective enclosure.
